- Jun 15, 2007
Bob Godfrey went to the Goodguys Hot Rod Nationals at O’Reilly Raceway Park just
outside Indianapolis to enter his Oblivion Express 1969 Chevy Camaro Bodied
Nostalgia Funny Car.
After four consecutive rained out editions, the weather reached the low 80’s over the weekend. The event combined a massive hot road car show with vintage racing. Classes ranged from 250 mph front engine nostalgia top fuel, funny cars and super stock. Over the weekend 250 cars battled it out in 12 classes.

Godfrey had a career best of 6.105 @ 234.98 to win. “I use K&N Engineering’s Oil Filter HP-5001,” said Godfrey. “I’ve used it for years. K&N Oil Filters protect my engines from dirt and debris. I wouldn’t use anything else.”
Godfrey said his car is near peak. “It was a flawless weekend in Indianapolis for both the crew and the car,” he said. “We are going to attempt to repeat our success this weekend at the NHRA Hot Rod Reunion at National Trails Raceway in Columbus, Ohio.
