K&N built the air intake kit to boost the 6.0 liter engines on these huge trucks with additional horsepower. Our dynamometer test show an 11.44 horsepower gain at 4500 RPM.

The factory intake tube and factory air box are restrictive. K&N gained the additional horsepower by removing the factory inlet tube and factory air box and replacing it with the bigger and smoother K&N air intake system.
K&N uses a large chrome top washable and reusable K&N air filter (RF-1042) that is isolated from engine heat by a powder coated steel heat shield. This results in an immediate power gain as air goes into the engine. More air means more usable power and acceleration as virtually unrestricted outside air enters the engine.
