Add 11 HP to a 2005 or 2006 Toyota Tundra V-6 4.0L Engine with New K&N Air Intake
- Mar 28, 2006
The Toyota Tundra is a big part of the so-called commuter pickup market. It's
more agile than other full-size pickups, because it's slightly smaller. Even
though it's longer than most, Tundra drivers can navigate city streets a lot
easier than drivers of really big trucks.
K&N Engineering's 63-9028 AirCharger Intake for the 2005 and 2006 Toyota Tundra
The 2006 model has virtually the same updates as the 2005 Tundra,
including an all-new base V-6 4.0 Liter engine. With the addition of K&N Engineering's new
63-Series Intake Kit (63-9028), 2005 and 2006 Tundra owners can realize an 11
horsepower gain.
The Tundra has extra space under the hood and K&N Engineer's were able to put a large cone filter and heat shield under the hood. K&N intakes are designed to dramatically reduce intake restriction as they smooth and straighten air flow. This allows your pickup's engine to use a larger volume of air than the OEM air filter assembly. More air means more power and torque when you need it.
The Tundra is not as full-sized as the Nissan Titan or the domestic pickups, such as the Ford F-150, Dodge Ram, Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra, but it's capable of hauling up to 2025 pounds or towing up to 7100 if it is equipped to do so. With a K&N Air Charger consumers who are towing heavy loads should see a performance difference.
Our 63-Series Intakes are designed to be installed with simple hand tolls in under 90 minutes and include the famous K&N Million Mile Warranty.
Find K&N products for your vehicle using the K&N application search then use the K&N dealer search to find a K&N dealer in your part of the world.
