Add 16 + Horsepower to Dodge Durango with K&N Fuel Injection Performance Kit
- Jun 30, 2006
The 2005 Dodge Durango is very different from the first-generation models. It's
4.7 liter V8 engine is powerful and sits farther back in the chassis resulting in
better balance.
K&N Engineering helps the 2004 to 2009 Dodge Durango 4.7L V8 release extra power. On K&N's dynamometer the 57-Series Generation II Fuel Injection Performance Kit (57-1538) upped the horsepower by 16.75 at 4588 RPM.
The K&N 57-Series FIPK systems add power by eliminating the restrictive OE airbox and intake tract. In place, K&N substitutes an aerodynamically designed intake tube that maximizes airflow with a smooth rotationally molded polyethylene internal surface.
"Every heat shield we make is custom designed for every vehicle," said K&N Performance Kit Manager Bert Heck. "This is easy to install."
K&N's 57-Series FIPK's are engineered for bolt-on do-it-yourself installation. In 90 minutes or less, the average enthusiast can remove the stock intake track and add the 57-Series components. Kits include all brackets and mounting hardware, stainless steel clamps and silicone hose adaptors.
K&N's FIPK (57-1538) also comes with a K&N Lifetime Air Filter (RF-1041) which lasts up to 100,000 miles before service is required (depending on driving conditions). It also comes with the famous K&N Million Mile Limited Warranty.
