Add Estimated 9.3 Horsepower to 2008, 2009 and 2010 Dodge Avenger 2.4L with K&N Air Intake Kit
- Dec 10, 2008
The 2008, 2009 and 2010 Dodge Avenger shares its powertrain with the Chrysler Sebring sedan. It is equipped with a 2.4 liter engine that moves along reasonably well.
For additional performance and power K&N has developed a high flow air intake system (69-2542TS) with a powder coated silver finish for the 2008, 2009 and 2010 Dodge Avenger with 2.4 liter engine. K&N dynamometer testing shows a 9.37 horsepower increase at 5368 rpm. This is a great power gain for the naturally aspirated four-cylinder engine. The OEM intake created a large amount of restriction that the K&N design reduced for added power.

Dyno chart for 2008 Dodge Avenger with a 2.4 liter engine
The 69-2542TS features a K&N lifetime washable and reusable air filter (RU-4860) which is located in the front left corner of the engine. Outside air goes through the round tapered universal K&N air filter to the engine for increased airflow and filtration. The K&N air filter also sits behind a powder coated heat shield to isolate it from engine heat. This air intake system replaces the original stock air box for an immediate power gain you can feel.
The 69-2542TS uses a CNC machined mass air sensor adaptor so the mass air sensor will work with the factory stock settings. The air intake tube and filter attach to a filter adaptor which smoothes the air flow entering the tube.
This K&N air intake system can be easily installed in 90 minutes or less with simple hand tools. The entire system is backed by the K&N Million Mile Limited Warranty.
