Dodge added a new SUV to its showrooms with a bold look and a bold name. The
Nitro is a midsize vehicle that shares its powerplant with the Dodge Dakota and
Dodge Durango.
Air Intake for 2007 and 2008 Dodge Nitro
K&N Engineering has designed a 77-Series Performance Air Intake Kit
(77-1554KP) with a polished metal tube for the 2007 and 2008 Dodge Nitro 3.7 liter V6
engine. K&N dynamometer test show an 11.64 horsepower gain @ 4270RPM.

K&N replaces the Nitro's original intake assembly, including the airbox,
air filter and intake tube with an all-new intake design. The new system draws
air through a large K&N High-Flow Air Filter (RF-1041) that increases airflow and
filtering capacity, and never needs to be replaced.
A powder coated steel heat shield replaces the stock air box. It protects the chrome top cone-shaped K&N Air Filter and isolates it from engine heat for better performance.
The 77-1554KP can be installed in 90 minutes or less and is backed by the K&N Million Mile Limited Warranty.
