Frenchville, Pennsylvania Big Block Dirt Modified Racer No.1 with K&N
- Jun 20, 2007
Racing was big on the agenda Father’s Day weekend for the Rougeux Motorsports
Team. The first competition was at Lernerville Speedway in Sarver, Pennsylvania
where Del Rougeux started off by drawing a good position for the heat race
events.
Rougeux started in third place at the first heat. The Big Block Dirt Modified racer ran his 2007X Bicknell Chassis with K&N Engineering air and oil filters. Rougeux charged into the lead and held on for the win. This was the Frenchville, Pennsylvania racer's second Lernerville Speedway heat race victory of the year.
“The K&N Products we use are second to none,” said Rougeux. “We race in very dusty conditions. K&N Keeps the dirt out of my carburetor. Our K&N air and oil filters work every time.”
The Modified feature event began with Rougeux on the pole. He led the first 11 circuits before losing the lead to Kevin Bolland. Rougeux took the lead back on lap 12 and continued to fight off Bolland’s challenges to lead laps 13 through 23. Rougeux was eventually passed by Brian Swartzlander and finished in third place.
The next night of competition occurred at Sharon Speedway in Hubbard, Ohio. The Rougeux Motorsports Team took the lead and went on to capture its second heat race victory of the weekend. In the feature, Rougeux finished in third place. He continues to lead the Modified Divisional Point Standings as a result of his two feature wins and consistent top five finishes.
