Honda Accord Owners Add Guaranteed Horsepower with K&N Performance Air Intake
- Nov 15, 2007
Designers of the 2007 Honda Accord said they used the cheetah as a styling
influence. Faceted corners, geometric headlights and sleek panels highlight the
newest exterior colors.
K&N Engineering has designed a high flow air intake system (69-1209TS) in silver for the 2007 Honda Accord 2.4 liter engine, 2006 Honda Accord 2.4 liter engine, 2005 Honda Accord 2.4 liter engine and the 2004 Honda Accord 2.4 liter engine.
For additional performance K&N replaced the original air box, intake tube and air filter with an all new cold air intake system. K&N dynamometer tests show a 7.13 horsepower gain at 5111 RPM.
K&N performance air intake systems provide an increase in horsepower while providing excellent filtration. The K&N lifetime replacement air filter (RU-4870) on this air intake is protected by a powder coated heat shield. The heat shield is used to isolate engine heat away from the cool incoming air to the engine to help produce more power.
The heat shield assembly is installed into the engine compartment using the factory mounting points. A bracket supports the tube which is mounted to the throttle body. This air intake system uses all the factory emission parts and positions the MAS in a location that doesn't require reprogramming to the factory computer. Three vehicles and 80 power measuring dynamometer runs were performed in the design and development of this air intake to ensure the final product provided the best performance and filtration possible while working with the Accord's emissions system.
The 69-1209TS can be easily installed in 90 minutes or less and is backed by the K&N Million Mile Limited Warranty.
