K&N Gets XStream® with new Filter for 2003-2008 Honda CRF 450R and 2004-2009 CRF 250R

RIVERSIDE, CA, -- K&N Engineering's New XStream® Air Flow Top, two piece High-Flow Air Filter design for the 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007 and 2008 Honda CRF 450R and 2004 to 2009 CRF 250R (part number HA-4503XD) is already all the rage for Off-Roaders and Motocrossers alike. The innovative, patent-pending two-piece filter makes installation, changing and cleaning your filter a breeze.
K&N invented the pleated cotton filter more than 35 years ago for the powersports market. Since then the technology has been adapted to fit nearly every vehicle on the road. Designed to increase airflow, K&N Filters offer more surface area, increased filtration, and optimum air flow when compared to typically disposable replacement filters, K&N Filters allow for two to three times the filtration area of a foam filter -- meaning much longer service intervals (more riding, less cleaning).
With the current rage in 4 stroke technology, the K&N Filters are becoming increasingly popular with enthusiasts and racers who demand the best for their ride. Four strokes thrive on increased airflow and respond exceptionally well to the improved airflow K&N Filters provide (NOTE: because of the increase in Air-Flow, you may need to re-jet your bike). The Four layers of woven cotton media allows for increased filtration over typical stock two layer foam filters. Combining these elements with our built-in, protective backfire screen, the K&N offers optimum airflow for your 4-stroke motorcycle as well as your 2-stroke motorcycle.
Installation of the K&N XStream Filter is easy. With the top removed, you can easily press the sides together to slide it in between your frame rails and install it into the air-box without the oily mess associated with many other air filters. K&N ensures a perfect seal with its double beaded seal on the base. For optimum seal, K&N recommends a bead of grease around the base and the XStream® Top.
Cleaning is a simple process and K&N offers a Recharger® Kit (sold separately) with everything needed to clean and re-oil your filter numerous times.
