K&N Offers Powersports Oil Filters for BMW Sports Tourer Motorcycle

The BMW sport motorcycle has more power and less weight with each generation. Both the R1200RT and R1200ST arrived in the United States in the spring of 2005. The R1200ST weighs in just below 573 pounds for good performance on long and short rides.

Powersports Oil Filter for BMW Motorcycles

The new sport tourer adventure bikes were developed to be supported by the drive train, innovative chassis elements and all the modern technologies of the R1200GS.
K&N Engineering has just released a Powersports Oil Filter (KN-164) for the BMW R1200ST, BMW R1200RT, BMW R1200GS, K1200S and BMW HP2.

"K&N's Powersports Oil Filters have a high quality man made synthetic media," said K&N Powersports Brand Manager John Jump. "If you use your adventure bike riding across the Sahara or on surface streets K&N Powersports Oil Filters (KN-164) provide outstanding oil filtration at high flow rates keeping your motor running clean and smooth."

All K&N 'spin-on' oil filters feature a heavy-duty metal can with a 17mm nut attached to the end that allows for easy installation and removal.

The KN-164 will fit the following vehicles:
