K&N Engineering has released a new lifetime replacement air filter (33-2340)
for the 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010 and 2011 Mercury Milan 3.0L V6, the 2006 Lincoln Zephyr 3.0L V6 and the 2006 to 2012 Ford Fusion 3.0L V6.

Lift the hoods of all the vehicles and the K&N Filters are custom designed to
fit in the factory air boxes. The drop-in design means adding performance is
simple; just remove the disposable air filter in the Milan, Zephyr or Ford and
replace it with a K&N.
The washable, reusable, high flow flat panel filter is designed to increase horsepower and acceleration, while providing excellent filtration. The (33-2340) is 1.125 inches in height (29mm) with an outside length of 8.313 inches (211mm) and an outside width of 6.25 inches (159mm).
Unlike disposable filters, K&N Air Filters use a unique pleated design comprised of an oiled cotton fabric sandwiched between two layers of epoxy-coated aluminum screen. The filters capture airborne dirt particles while allowing high volume air flow. These particles then cling to the outside of the filter and become part of the filtering media.
The pleating on K&N Filters increases the surface area, which then assists air flow and extends service intervals. Better dirt retention, better airflow and extended service intervals are all benefits of using a K&N filter.
