K&N's Newest Typhoon® Intake Kits Makes The Scion xA and xB Even Hotter

RIVERSIDE, CA - It's hard not to stare at the unique styling of the 2003 to 2007 Toyota Scion xB and xA. Their quirky styling turns heads whether parked or in motion. K&N Engineering® now gives the xA and xB the underhood pep to match thier spunky appearance with new 69-Series Typhoon® Intake Kits (xB - PN 69-8605TS / xA - 69-8606TB & 69-8606TP). Testing on K&N's Dynojet 248 dynamometer revealed great HP gains at the wheels! Performance results were consistent on multiple cars during repeated dyno runs, making K&N confident enough to offer guaranteed horsepower (something K&N does for all of their intake kits).
The xA and xB Typhoon® Intake Kits are constructed of 6061-grade aluminum intake tubing and maximize airflow through mandrel bends and use billet mass-airflow sensor adapters that are fully TIG-welded. The tube combines with a famous tapered-round K&N High-Flow Air Filter to make impressive power. Further, the system's flexible coupling is made of multi-ply DuPont® Nomex®-reinforced silicone hose that remains resilient under high heat. The hose and filter are secured to the tube by stainless-steel barrel clamps, which apply consistent force and are corrosion-resistant. Washable and reusable, K&N High-Flow Air Filters revolutionized the performance industry decades ago with its cotton-gauze filtration media and epoxy-coated wire-mesh skeleton. These kits feature a velocity-stack base, which smooths and accelerates air into the engine.
