In other exciting NASCAR K&N Pro Series news, a new body was revealed at the 2014 SEMA show in Las Vegas, Nevada. The new NASCAR K&N Pro Series body was built with aerodynamics, safety and ease of repair in mind. The new body replaces the existing steel bodied NASCAR K&N Pro Series cars with a design that saves 35 lbs. and is much easier to repair. The new bodies, whether it’s for a Chevy, Ford, or Toyota, were designed with safety in mind. The new bodies use a fire resistant material, tethers to keep the hoods in place, insets for windshield center braces, and other safety improvements.

The new NASCAR K&N Pro Series bodies will not be used until the first race of the 2015 season; however officials are confident about the performance and durability of the new design. Wind tunnel testing shows that the new NASCAR K&N Pro Series cars compared favorably to the NASCAR Sprint Cup series cars and sport a modern look nearly identical to the Sprint Cup body. The car revealed at the 2014 SEMA Show was painted to resemble Ben Rhodes’ 2014 Alpha Energy Solutions Chevrolet.
