Off Road Elka Yadkin Valley Stomp in North Carolina Dominated by Warnert Racing

Warnert Racing’s Can Am Team took four podium finishes in the Grand National
Cross County Series at Yadkinville, North Carolina.

It is one of the tightest tracks in the series with twists and turns that
tear into machines and riders. Speeds are generally lower and finesse rules the
day. Can-Am Warnert Racing’s riders were prepared for the two hour off-road
event.

Clifton Beasley faced off with fellow Can Am rider Jerime Dudding as the
pair battled each other in 4X4 Lites. The conditions were dry and warm and a
track choked with dust shortened visibility. When the dust did settle, Duddding
edged out Beasley by seconds to claim his second victory of the season.
Beasley already had the points battle won in the 4X4 Lites overall and his second place
finish marked his 10th race of the season finishing second or better.
“Our K&N Engineering air filters kept us running despite the dust and provided us with power,” said Levi Michel, Warnert Race Manager. “We get better throttle response all the way through a race.”
Can Am Warnert Racing’s Michale Swift owned the 4X4 Limited class all season long, and was the second team member to lock in a class championship. Swift jumped out to the early lead and continued to dominate the Limited class. He secured his 9th win of the 2007 series.
4X4 Open riders Richard Cecco and Scott Kilby carried the Warnert Racing momentum forward with the largest machines in one of the most competitive classes. The duo combined for a 2nd and 3rd place podium finish. The tight and twisting layout and slower speeds did not favor the big 4X4 machines. Both riders had great rides in conditions that tested them to the limits in their Can Am Outlander 800’s equipped with K&N products.
Cecco had the lead until fellow Can Am rider Bryan Buckhannon passed him for the win. “This provided Warnert Racing with a 4X4 sweep at Yadkinville,” said Michel. “The dirt was so extreme, but K&N kept us running enough to sweep. We like having a filter we can clean.”
The series heads to Powerline Park in Ohio for round 12 on October 13.
