Kvapil is fourth overall in points, 263 markers behind series leader Mike
Skinner. Kvapil scored his second win of the 2007 season at Memphis Motorsports
Park.
“Kentucky is one of the places that we go that really has a great crowd,” said Kvapil. “The track works really hard at making a very friendly environment for the fans and competitors. It’s a great place with high speeds and lots of action. It is also a mile-and-a-half track, but not a cookie cutter track like Atlanta and Texas. It’s very unique. I think the fans will be in for a great race on Saturday night.”
Kvapil and the K&N Filters Team scored their first win of the 2007 season at Michigan International Speedway. The win came on the heels of three consecutive top 10 finishes for Kvapil in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series.
“Things seem to be clicking for the K&N Filters Team,” said Crew Chief Mike Beam. “We’ve been on a good run over the last couple of weeks and we feel good about continuing our streak of good finishes this weekend in Kentucky.”
SPEED-TV will cover the 150 lap 225 mile event at 7:30 PM EDT on July 14th.
