- Jun 16, 2014
SEMA, an acronym for the Specialty Equipment Market Association, was founded in 1963 by a group of like-minded automotive performance enthusiasts. SEMA currently represents over 6,500 member-companies, and helps to protect the rights of a consumer to personalize their vehicles. K&N Engineering Inc., a manufacturer of performance air filters and intake systems, has been a member of SEMA since 1975. Tim Martin has served as a Vice President at K&N for years, and has recently been made the Chief Operations Officer. Tim is passionate about racing, performance, and the street car customization lifestyle. Tim’s wealth of experience, including serving as a member of the SEMA Business Technology Committee, and passion for the automotive aftermarket industry, inspired him to run for a seat on the SEMA Board of Directors. Tim Martin will be recognized as a newly elected SEMA board member during the SEMA Installation Gala on Friday, July 18. During this banquet outgoing board members will be recognized and there will be a special tribute to new SEMA hall of fame inductees. |
