Upgrade 2014, 2015 & 2016 Arctic Cat Wildcat 700 Trail Or 700 Sport With K&N Air Filter
- Aug 27, 2015
Edgar Hetteen was one of the original founders of Polaris Industries and a pioneer in creating the first snowmobiles. Legend has it, in 1960 Edgar Hetteen led a three snowmobile expedition 1200 miles across the Alaskan wilderness to help publicize the snowmobile while demonstrating their reliability and usefulness. Unfortunately, Hetteen’s three-week absence during this expedition caused tension between him and the Polaris board of directors resulting in Edgar’s departure from the company. As a result Edgar Hetteen formed a new company named Polar Manufacturing, later renamed Arctic Cat Enterprises.
While Artic Cat remains an industry leader in snowmobile design and manufacturing, the company has also branched out into building all-terrain vehicles (ATV’s) and Side-by-Side utility vehicles. Watching the kind of success Yamaha was having with their Rhino side-by-side, and later how well the Polaris RZR was selling, Artic Cat released its line of Wildcat side-by-side UTV’s hoping to outperform the competition. Owners of 2014-2016 Arctic Cat Wildcat Trail 700 or Arctic Cat Wildcat Sport 700 models who would also like to outperform fellow side-by-side users can easily do so with the addition of a K&N® replacement air filter AC-7014. K&N replacement air filters are made with specially woven cotton gauze. Because cotton, by nature, is more breathable than paper, K&N replacement air filters can flow more air than a typical paper air filter. More air can result in increased performance and improved throttle response. Additional horsepower and torque can come in handy when cresting a dune, or tackling a trail. Even though K&N air filters are designed to increase airflow, it does not come at the expense of filtration efficiency and engine protection.
K&N engineers place filtration efficiency and dirt retention at the top of the priority list when developing a replacement air filter for all-terrain vehicles. K&N knows that ATV’s, and side-by-sides will be subjected to some of the most extreme conditions on the planet. As such the K&N replacement air filter for the 2014, 2015 & 2016 Arctic Cat Wildcat Trail and Sport uses design elements that go above and beyond standard K&N on-road replacement air filters. With four layers of K&N’s special tight-weave cotton gauze material, replacement air filter AC-7014 was rated at 98.94% efficient overall.
K&N replacement air filters are washable and reusable. The high-flow nature of a K&N filter combined with a K&N filter’s pleated design allows for long service intervals before cleaning is necessary. When it is time, K&N Arctic Cat Wildcat 700 replacement air filter AC-7014 can be easily cleaned and returned to service by using one of K&N’s Recharger® air filter service kits. K&N’s specially formulated Power Kleen air filter degreaser and air filter oil can be purchased in larger volumes for K&N users who need to service their filter more frequently. K&N replacement filter AC-7014, for 2014, 2015 and 2016 Arctic Cat Wildcat Sport or Trail 700 models, is backed by a one year limited warranty. The K&N Arctic Cat Wildcat replacement air filter is designed to provide increased performance, reusability, and long air filter service intervals without any need for modifications or tuning for the following Arctic Cat models:
2016 ARCTIC CAT WILDCAT TRAIL 700 - All K&N high-flow replacement air filter AC-7014 serves as an air filter cross reference for the OE Arctic Cat air filter number 0470996.
