K&N Engineering has released a new 57-Series Generation II Fuel Injection
Performance Kit (57-6014)
for the 2005 to 2014 Nissan Xterra 4.0L V6, the 2005 to 2014 Nissan Pathfinder 4.0L V6 and the
2005 to 2014 Nissan Frontier 4.0L V6.

The 2005 to 2014 Nissan models are more powerful than their predecessors, modern but
still rugged and functional. By replacing your factory air intake assembly with
K&N's 57-Series FIPK, your engine will get more air with less restriction. More
air means more usable power and acceleration throughout the engines RPM range.
Dynamometer tests at K&N Engineering's lab show a 14.25 horsepower gain at 5075
for the 2005 Nissan Frontier 4.0 liter. Function and looks were part of K&N's
development process for the 57-Series FIPK (57-6014).
"The factory intake tube is skinny and wide," said K&N Performance Kit Manager
Bert Heck. "We held onto the same theme for looks to give it the cool factor. We
put a lot of thought in making the tube and we also made really good power. K&N
engineers also made sure to keep the Nissan computer happy and placed the mass
air sensor in a critical position."
The FIPK (57-6014)
uses K&N's high-flow, washable and reusable air filter (RF-1014)
which performs up to 100,000 miles before service is required (depending on
driving conditions). FIPK's also come with the famous K&N Million Mile Limited
Warranty.
"It's a piece of cake to put in," said Heck. "Most can do it in less than 90
minutes with simple hand tools."
The Jeep Liberty has stayed true to its Jeep heritage by offering a balance for
someone who enjoys the outdoors and has to commute within the city. It is

replaces the factory air box, filter and intake tube. The result is more
horsepower. K&N's dynamometer shows a 6.36 horsepower gain at 5274 RPM. By
replacing your factory air intake assembly with K&N's FIPK air intake, the engine on the
Liberty gets more air with less restriction.
Designed for the 2004, 2005, 2006 and 2007 Jeep Liberty 3.7L V6, K&N's FIPK (57-1540)
has a big filter with a 7 1/2 inch base. "Access to the filter (RF-1048)
is a piece of cake," said K&N Performance Kit Manager Bert Heck. "But keeping
all the factory parts in the right location was the biggest challenge for our
engineers. The air box was under the water reservoir for the windshield wiper
fluid. We built a tube heat shield and factored in all the parts and made it
look right."

can be installed in 90 minutes or less with simple hand tolls and lasts up to
100,000 miles before service is required (depending on driving conditions). It

The Dodge Dakota was introduced in 1987 with a different pickup design. Neither
full-size, nor compact Dakota measured in-between. Dakota is larger than its
predecessor in the 2005 model gaining nearly 4 inches in length and almost 3
inches in width.

that will add 8 + horsepower. K&N's dynamometer chart shows 8.68 horsepower gain
at 4749 RPM on the 2005 and 2006 Dodge Dakota 3.7 liter V6.
"This was a new body style change with the Dakota," said K&N Performance Kit
Manager Bert Heck. "We tried a lot of different designs and made a really cool
designer intake. Function and looks are two major factors, the first thing you
want is function and the second thing is good looks, a cool factor. We were able
to do both with this FIPK."

adds 13.37 horsepower at 5224 RPM. The kit speeds up airflow by straightening
the path to the engine, cooling the air and adding performance.

The large K&N Air Filter (RF-1040)
and aerodynamic tube removes much of the restriction caused by the factory
intake and allows a large amount of air into the engine for more power. The FIPK

"The factory computer bolts to the air box, but K&N incorporated the FIPK
without any rewiring," said Bert Heck, K&N Performance Kit Manager. "It is still
a simple installation even with the computer."
