K&N has sold millions of air filters for just about everything that has an engine. We test filters both in house and at independent labs to make sure our air filters provide outstanding air flow and filter protection.
K&N Universal Air Filter RC-5178
K&N is proud to release its latest universal air filter, the
RC-5178. This oval tapered universal air filter has a black powder coated stainless steel top with a stud for secure mounting. It comes pre-treated with K&N filter oil so it is ready for use right out of the box.
The flange is rigid and intended for clamp-on hose attachment.
The
RC-5178, like all K&N universal air filters is a washable reusable filter. It is also warranted against defective material or workmanship for one year from the date of purchase with no mileage limitations.
RC-5178 is also the replacement air filter for K&N air intake system 57-2546-1.
The air filter may have the number 04931 stamped on the base place, however, this is not the part number.
K&N consistently adds new filters to its extensive catalog. Regardless of the shape or size K&N probably has a universal air filter to fit your specific needs. Find K&N universal air filters for your needs by using the Universal Air Filter Search by Dimension on knfilters.com.

Crump was on a mission from the outset of the race. He did everything he could to stay in the hunt for first place, and grappled with Sweden's Fredrik Lindgren in Heat 5. Crump then passed Poland's Grzegorz Walasek and Tomasz Gollob to win Heat 9.

American Greg Hancock and Gollob tore away in the first semi-final but they had to answer to Crump who stormed on to victory. He was also too fast for Tomasz Gollob, Andreas Jonsson and Greg Hancock in the final. Crump led from start to finish claiming the 19th Grand Prix victory of his career.
“This is a great win for me and a great win for my team,” said Crump. “I’m happy to have the points lead after just two rounds. It’s still early and there is still a long way to go in the championship chase. Anything can happen.”
Speedway motorcycles have no brakes and are powered by 500cc single cylinder engines. Riders make a clutch start. Unless it's an emergency situation riders slow to a stop by easing off the throttle. If a rider needs to stop in an emergency he will pull a cut-out cord, which is attached to his wrist to kill the engine.
Crump has used K&N products doing his nearly two decades of racing. He uses K&N air filter
RU-3710 on all of his motorcycles. “K&N is the best,” he said. “The air filters give me the additional horsepower I need to win at every race. K&N also keeps the dirt and debris out of my engines.”
Crump said he is concentrating on consistency and getting to the finals at each event. “If I can do that, then I’m in with a hot chance to win a third World Grand Prix title this year,” he said. “Right now my only concern is to win the next Grand Prix in Sweden”

The Rockstar Hart & Huntington Team had great results in Salt Lake City, Utah at the Rice Eccles Field. Team riders Matt Boni
and Troy Adams both put their Honda CRF 450’s in the main event in the AMA Supercross Series.

Boni had an eighth place result which matched his career high record. Adams took seventeenth.
“Both riders had impressive race results despite weather problems that cancelled the second set of practices,” said Jill Lengyel of Rockstar Energy Hart and Huntington. “During
qualifying Boni scored fourth in heat two and Adams got seventh which put them in the main event.”
Boni is now in the lead for the pro privateer challenge that is awarded to the top non factory rider in the
AMA series. Boni is 11th overall in points in the AMA Supercross Series and Adams is 22nd.
“We’re happy that our guys are riding great right now,” said Team Manager Kenny Watson. “We set out to prove that we’re here to mix it up with the top teams and I think we’ve done that.”

We Rock racers Brad and Roger Lovell were ready to set a benchmark at Round two of the competition in Cedar City, Utah.

The Lovell brothers were the only Pro-Modified team to finish all the courses on the first day for a 24 point lead. The second day was intense because a radio problem caused their No. 232 Ranger to hit a couple of cones on the first run. The cone penalty cost the Lovell brothers their huge lead.

On the next day, they were determined to regain the lead. They hit the courses just right and remained upright and between the cones. “I knew it was going to be tight,” said Brad Lovell. “I was really worked up about the additional points we could make if we conquered a bonus climb no one had finished. I was asking anyone and everyone if we should try it. We did and that is the only reason we had the lead again. It was a good gamble.”
The lead was so good that Brad and Roger Lovell took home their second We-Rock win of the season and a strong lead in the 2009 series. The Lovell brothers use K&N products. “There is a lot of debris on the We-Rock courses,” said Lovell. “Our K&N air filters keep the silt and fine dust out of our engines. K&N also prevents our sensors from clogging.”
Brad and Roger Lovell are preparing to race the legendary Baja 500 in June.
The European Rally School and Motorsport Park may be the most complete motorsport facility in the United States. It is located in North Central Florida and offers high performance driving, ATV rider courses, Rally Driving and SUV driving courses among others.

Ivor and Anita Wigham own the school. The couple moved to Florida from England nearly two decades ago and both Rally Raced. "We came out to the United States to take a look around and we took the chance and moved," said Wigham. "We now have 50 vehicles, six full-time instructors and 20 part-time instructors."
The school's ATV three mile Safari course has 70 obstacles and are designed for Military Special Forces groups
ATV courses at the school offer all aspects of riding up to very advanced levels
"K&N is good for our business," said Wigham. "K&N is a very good product and we love the K&N Million Mile Limited Warranty. We get extra filtration, more power and K&N is cost effective because K&N lasts."
The European Rally School and Motorsport Park also has an ATV Safari course. It is a three mile custom built course that expands through the Florida wilderness. The track also features a variety of obstacles as log piles, jumps, bomb holes, very steep climbs, extreme washboards and a lot more.
"We provide ATV training for the military," said Wigham. "We have terrain, obstacles and water crossings that replicate situations our soldiers might face in Afghanistan. We also do night training. There is a correct way and an incorrect way to ride an ATV going over a huge mountain and we provide that knowledge."
The Wigham’s fly K&N flags all over their facility and hand out K&N literature to people that attend their classes. Their new 2.0 mile 16 paved road course has elevation changes, cambered turns, crests and blind corners. "From Vintage racing to Rally driving to Performance we can accommodate most people," said Wingham. "Racing is an excellent stress reliever."
