K&N has designed an air intake system (69-7061TS) with a silver powder-coated finish for the 2007 to 2013 Nissan Altima with a 2.5 liter engine. K&N dynamometer tests show a 6.88 horsepower gain @ 4927 RPM for this air intake kit.

On this K&N cold air intake the factory fresh air inlet duct mounts to the heat shield to ensure an ample supply of outside air. The fresh air inlet is necessary as the Nissan Altima's 2.5 liter engine's throttle body is located on the back side of the motor. This means the factory air box is located well within the engine bay. K&N's design positions the mass air sensor on the tube for maximum performance. These changes are key ingredients for additional horsepower.

A K&N high flow air filter (RU-4990) treated with 1.06 oz of K&N filter oil is included in this air intake system. Our air filters are engineered to provide increased surface area for long service intervals and excellent engine protection.

K&N has designed a replacement air filter (33-2941) which fits many 2007 through 2016 Peugeot 308 models as well as many other cars including Peugeot 5008, 3008, 2008, 508, 207 models, Citroen Berlingo, C3, C4, C5, DS3 and DS4 models and some Mini Cooper models as well. The 33-2941 performance air filter has a unique design to fit in its compact factory air box with no cutting or fitting required. The 33-2941 is designed to increase performance while offering excellent engine protection. The filter features a purse-like handle to hold the filter in position in the air box as well as a thicker media (one and one fourth inches) to accommodate its thin shape. This filter can be washed and used again and again so you no longer need to buy paper filters only to throw them away.

K&N replacement air filters are hand made using the finest materials and are washable and reusable.  All K&N replacement air filters employ an oiled cotton media and feature our original Million Mile Warranty.

MX Des Nations Motocross Rider Cody Cooper Jumped Out Early in Suzuki RM-Z450

Australian and New Zealand Motocross Lites Champion Cody Cooper faced the competition during the AMA Motocross season in a Suzuki RM-Z450. The 24-year-old began his racing career eight years ago and is originally from New Zealand.

Cooper also raced at the 2008 MX Des Nations at Donington Park in the United Kingdom. He rode on the New Zealand Motocross Des Nations National Team for a fourth place finish. Cooper grabbed the holeshot in the second moto, but winner Ryan Villopoto set the pace of the day in the 36 field competition.

Australian Needs Miracle to Win World Speedway Grand Prix Series

Double World Grand Prix Speedway Champion Jason Crump was ready to win this third Grand Prix of the year in Italy. On the last lap of the final, ignition problems slowed down his motorcycle as Danes Hans Andersen and Bjarne Pedersen passed him just before the finish line.

“Jason was clearly the best rider of the night,” said Crump’s Media Relations Manager Roy Stone. “He scored at the top of his game in the heats. He was distraught after he was forced to coast home in third place and claim only two points toward the championship.”

If Crump won the Italian race, he would have been able to claim six points after ten rounds in the 2008 World Championship Series. “Just when you think everything is right and the checkered flag is in sight the mechanical gremlins strike,” said Crump. “I raced my heart out. This is a huge disappointment. I am mentally programmed to accept it, put it behind me and move on.”

The Australian’s next stop will take place at Gelsenkirschen in Germany. “It will take a miracle for me to win the World Championship, but I’m not conceding,” said Crump. “Miracles do happen.”

Crump will also race in the richest minute in motorsports, the 4-lap Super-Prix. “K&N Filters are always on my motorcycles,” he said. “K&N makes the best filter on the market and I can depend on the extra filtration and additional horsepower at every race.
