K&N Air Intake Installed in 2006 Chevrolet Chevy HHR 2.4 liter engine
Dyno chart for 2006 Chevrolet Chevy HHR 2.4 liter engine
The Chevrolet HHR, which stands for Heritage High Roof has a distinctive silhouette and a design that is reminiscent of the 1949 Chevy Suburban. Not a car, and not quite an SUV, the HHR crossover vehicle combines classic Chevrolet styling with modern convenience and versatility.
Air Intake for 2006 through 2011 Chevrolet HHR 2.4L
K&N Performance Air Intake replaces restrictive stock configuration
A vehicle as distinctive as the HHR deserves an equally unique Performance Air Intake System. K&N Engineering, not wanting to disappoint, has done just that. The Performance Air Intake System (57-3056) for the 2006 through 2011 Chevrolet HHR 2.4L L4 "Is the first time K&N has used an airbox in an intake kit," said Bert Heck, K&N Performance Kit Manger. This one of a kind airbox is custom engineered and molded from the same high-density polyethylene as our Performance Air Intake tubes."Designed for maximum air flow the unique airbox keeps the engine heat away from the open element air filter." For optimum performance 57-3056 retains use of the fresh air supply hose and "provides a cooler air charge," according to Heck.
K&N tests, on our in-house dynamometer, have shown a gain of 9.33 horsepower at 5325 RPM with the K&N (57-3056) Intake System. K&N Engineers were able to achieve such horsepower gains because the original factory airbox and original filter were restrictive. K&N intakes are designed to dramatically reduce intake restriction as they smooth and straighten airflow. Restriction robs your engine of power and torque when you need it. When driving a vehicle as versatile as the HHR there is no telling when that extra horsepower boost is going to come in handy. It could be needed while merging onto the highway, or driving up a steep grade. K&N's Performance Air Intake System (57-3056) offers a horsepower increase no HHR owner should live without.
This air intake system uses a conical shaped chrome top high-flow air filter (RC-5149) and custom engineered molded airbox in place of the vehicle's restrictive stock configuration. The result is an air filter that captures harmful particles, provides more surface area, flows more air, and increases service life. This K&N air filter performs for up to 100,000 miles before service is required depending on driving conditions. Improving the air path between the filter and the motor is the rotationally-molded high-density polyethylene tube. It offers the most flexibility in design and outstanding horsepower numbers. It takes about 90 minutes or less to install this system with simple tools. It is covered by K&N's Million Mile Limited Warranty™ and is 50 state street legal.
The K&N 57-3056 air intake system fits the following vehicles:

For 2008 Jeep unveiled its revamped Liberty model giving it an aggressive, yet chic, makeover. Bold lines, modern round-headlights, and that unmistakable vertical-slat grill complement the very capable Liberty package. Seeing the potential for improvement K&N Engineering seized the opportunity to build one of their Performance Air Intake Systems (77-1559KP) for the 3.7L V6 models.

With the addition of K&N Engineering's new Performance Air Intake System (77-1559KP), Liberty owners can realize a gain of more than 10 horsepower. K&N's Research and Development Department tested a 2008 Jeep Liberty 3.7L V6 on our in-house dynamometer. Results showed an impressive10.01 horsepower gain @ 4800 RPM. K&N's 77-1559KP Air Intake System gives Liberty owners the power they're craving while also increasing under-hood appeal.

K&N intakes are designed to dramatically reduce intake restriction as they smooth and straighten airflow. This allows your engine to pull in air with ease compared to the OEM air filter assembly. More air means more power and torque when you need it. With a K&N Performance Air Intake System, consumers can count on extra horsepower whether driving around town, towing, or hauling five passengers plus gear on a camping trip.
This air intake system uses a conical shaped chrome top high-flow air filter (RF-1048) and powder coated aluminum heat shield in place of the vehicle's stock air box. The result is an air filter that captures harmful particles, provides more surface area, flows more air, and increases service life. This K&N air filter performs for up to 100,000 miles before service is required depending on driving conditions. Improving the air path between the filter and the motor is the polished aluminum intake tube. Our polished aluminum intake tubes offer power and a stylish appearance. It takes about 90 minutes or less to install and it is covered by K&N's Million Mile Limited Warranty™.
The K&N 77-1559KP air intake system fits the following Jeeps:

While disposable paper air filters and K&N lifetime performance air filters both
provide the protection your car's engine needs, air flow restriction is what
sets these two types of filters apart. K&N air filters provide virtually
unrestricted air flow compared to a typical paper air filter. The
restriction from paper air filters can rob your car of performance.
K&N's Air Flow Demonstrator is a promotional item used to visually show the vast differences between
a K&N high flow cotton air filter and a typical disposable paper filter. The Air Flow Demonstrator uses electric fans inside an
acrylic box to pull air through an air filter raising a ping pong ball enclosed
in the air exit tube mounted on top of the unit.
This can be a powerful tool for K&N retailers to significantly increase sales through a simple demonstration of the quality and effectiveness of K&N air filters.
In the first phase of the demonstration, the K&N Air Flow Demonstrator is
set to the ON position without placing an air filter in the front of the box. The ping pong ball shoots straight to the top of the tube because there is no restriction to hold it back.
The second phase of the demonstration is done with a disposable paper air filter installed and sealed to the front of the display box. You will notice that the ping pong ball does not shoot right to the top of the tube. The restriction of the paper filter prevents
much of the air from being pulled in by the fans.
In the last stage of this demonstration we replace the paper filter with a
K&N high flow air filter. This will reveal the outstanding benefits of K&N's high flow technology. The K&N air filter allows virtually unrestricted air flow into the box pushing the ping pong ball right back to the top of the tube. This visualization
demonstrates that K&N air filters have less restriction than typical disposable paper filters.
"The high level of air flow in a K&N air filter can easily be demonstrated," said Richard Blum National Account Manager at K&N. "When the unit has been in use for a while with a noticeable build-up of dirt on the K&N air filter, the air will still flow better on the dirty K&N filter than a new paper filter."
K&N high flow technology is designed to increase the efficiency of the combustion process creating more horsepower and torque. The multiple layers of cotton fibers in the filter provide many levels of dust retention. This characteristic allows the K&N filter to hold significantly more dirt per square inch of media than the average paper filter. Utilizing these scientific principles, K&N has been able to design an air filter that is very free flowing while also being highly efficient at removing dirt from the air.
