The Mahindra Scorpio is a diesel vehicle that was launched in India, but has
found a large market in Kuwait. It's combination of style, utility and luxury
have made the Scorpio a success in car clubs.
K&N's Lifetime Replacement Air Filter E-2984 for the 2003 and
2004 Diesel Mahindra Scorpio
K&N Engineering has released a replacement air filter (E-2984) for the
2004 Mahindra Scorpio with 2.6 liter diesel engine and the 2003 Mahindra Scorpio with 2.6
liter diesel engine. To add performance just remove the disposable air filter
and replace it with the K&N air filter.
Unlike disposable filters, K&N Air Filters are washable and reusable. Designed
to increase horsepower and acceleration, the
E-2984, like other K&N Diesel Air Filters, was
designed to increase horsepower and acceleration while providing excellent
filtration.
K&N air filters are engineered to
fit directly into the factory air box just like the original air filter. The simple design makes the
E-2984 an
easy performance add-on for your Scorpio. Remove the stock air filter and clean
the stock air box. Apply a small bead of the provided K&N
sealing grease to both sides of the K&N air filter then place
it into the air box and reinstall the air box lid.
Backed by the famous K&N Million Mile Limited Warranty, it will be the last air
filter your vehicle will ever need.
Scion has designed it's 2007, 2008, 2009 and 2010 tC for the tuner market. Its steering and suspension
have a European bias. In fact it's platform is shared with a Toyota
model that is sold in Europe. The panoramic glass moon roof is standard along
with an updated audio system that is mounted on the steering wheel.
Air Intake for the 2007, 2008, 2009 and 2010 Scion tC
K&N Engineering has released a high flow air intake system (69-8614TS)
with a powder coated silver tube for the 2007, 2008, 2009 and 2010 Scion tC 2.4 liter engine. The low
maintenance metallic finish gives this K&N system an OE appearance.
69-8614TS prototype installed in the 2007 Scion tC
K&N air intake power gain chart for 2007-2010 Scion tC.
Along with good looks comes additional performance for the engine. K&N
dynamometer tests show an 8.09 horsepower gain for the 2007 Scion tC at 5466 RPM.
The mandrel bent tube ensures incoming air has a smooth unrestricted path to the
engine.
The factory fresh air duct routes outside air to the inside area of a powder coated
steel heat shield, directly toward the K&N lifetime round tapered universal air
filter (RU-4860).
This allows the engine to breathe more efficiently, resulting in an immediate
power gain over the factory system.
The RU-4860
mounts within the heat shield, and provides virtually unrestricted airflow as it
provides superior filtration. Washable and reusable, this K&N air filter can go
up to 100,000 miles before cleaning is required.
The
69-8614TS has lower restriction than the factory air box, is designed to
improve engine performance and is easy to
install, usually in
90 minutes or less. All you need for installation are a couple screwdrivers, a socket set, pliers and an allen wrench. An illustrated instruction sheet is included to help
guide you through each step.
The entire intake system is covered by K&N's Million Mile Limited Warranty
The Lotus Exige is another addition to the Lotus family of lightweight sports
cars. It weighs 935 kg or (2057 lbs) and is powered by a 218 horsepower
supercharged engine. It is essentially a coupe version of the Lotus Elise, which
is a roadster. Available in North America and around the globe, the Exige has used an efficient Toyota
engine since 2005.
K&N Engineering's 57A-6034 Air Intake System for the Lotus Exige
K&N Engineering has designed a performance air intake system (57A-6034)
for the 2004 - 2008 Lotus Exige 1.8 liter engine. See complete vehicle list below.
The custom design uses K&N's Apollo air filter enclosure along with a washable
reusable K&N air filter. The Apollo is designed to eliminate hot air problems
and provide the benefits of an open cone filter and a standard air box in one
unit.
The K&N Apollo cold air intake system comes with adaptors to fit the Lotus Exige.
By using a CNC mass air sensor pad, K&N keeps the Lotus Exige running within its
factory settings. There is no need to reprogram the factory settings after
installation. The
57A-6034
provides excellent filtration and additional power to the Exige.
The removable cold air feed attachment on the Apollo allows cooler outside air
to enter the unit. Zip ties are also provided to secure the cold air hose in
position. It takes about 90 minutes or less to
install this kit
using simple hand tools and comes with the famous K&N Million Mile Limited
Warranty.

Ryan Newman propelled across the finish line to victory in Sunday's 50th Daytona 500 with a K&N air filter inside Penske's No. 12 Alltel Dodge and K&N decals displayed on each
fender.
The Penske Racing
Dodges ganged up on Tony Stewart in a three lap run to the finish at Daytona
International Speedway.
Daytona 500 Champion Ryan Newman and K&N's Charles Maier
There were 42 lead changes among sixteen drivers which made the Daytona 500 one
of the most memorable races in history.
On lap 198, the 18 car driven by Kyle Busch got in line behind the 20 driven by
Stewart. Kurt Bush, Ryan Newman’s teammate got behind Newman in the draft and
helped pushed Newman to the win. Stewart took a third place finish and Kyle Bush
came in fourth despite leading 86 laps throughout the race. Kurt Busch took the
runner-up position.
This was the first time a Penske car won Daytona and finished 1-2 in a Cup race.
Roger Penske now has a Daytona 500 win to go with his 14 victories in the
Indianapolis 500. “Winning the Daytona 500 is a special victory for Penske
Racing and the No. 12 Alltel Dodge team,” said Penske. “We could not have
achieved such a win without the assistance from our sponsors including K&N air
filters.”
K&N Engineering has been supplying Penske Racing with product on and off for
years. “The past two years we have formed a mutually beneficial marketing and
product development effort,” said K&N Sports Marketing Director Charles Maier.
“We would like to think that the race finished 1-2 for Team Penske due to our
product and that it made the difference. In reality Penske Racing has made
several changes and the results are coming to Victory Lane. K&N is glad to be
part of the progress.”
Newman broke an 81-race drought dating back to 2005 with this race. The Penske
team will be back this weekend for round two of the Sprint Cup Series at
California Speedway in Fontana, California.
