Many race car and engine builders struggle to find an air filtration solution for injector stacks. The filter must be large enough to flow enough air, must securely mount to prevent damage during a race, and yet be small enough to not obstruct the driver’s view. K&N took each of these variables into consideration when developing a new carbon fiber air box at slightly over 4 inches tall.
K&N’s new 100-8576 air box was developed in carbon fiber to attach to four inline injector stacks. Simply measure and cut holes for your 2” – 2 5/8” diameter Hilborn, Kinsler, Engler, or similar injector stacks in the carbon fiber base of the K&N air box, slip the base over the stacks, and then attach the filter top using the provided hardware.
The K&N filter element is made of multiple layers of cotton treated with K&N air filter oil. This combination offers high airflow with little restriction, while at the same time providing excellent filtration to keep your engine running strong the entire race. After the race, the filter can be cleaned and reoiled using K&N air filter cleaning products and restored to like-new condition for the next race.
K&N’s new 100-8576 carbon fiber air box can be purchased through any K&N authorized dealer. To find a dealer in your area, visit our dealer search page.
Sportsman Racer Dan Fletcher grabbed his 51st NHRA National event title at the
season opening 48th annual CARQUEST Auto Parts NHRA Winternationals in Pomona.
Few other drivers have accomplished this feat in NHRA national event history.

Fletcher won the Super Stock class by beating Brad Rounds in the final round.
Fletcher drove his 1969 Chevy Camaro posting a .016 reaction time and ran 9.352
at 134.56 mph to Rounds .022 reaction time and 9.335 at 142.60 mph for the win.

Thomas Fletcher raced Stock class in Pomona
The NHRA champion also drove a second car in the Competition Eliminator class.
Fletcher lost in the final round. “I went to Pomona hoping to split and get that
first win light,” said the sportsman racer. “I won Super Stock first and that
was awesome. The competition eliminator was another issue. It broke a rocker arm
going into the momentum at half-track. Unfortunately that’s the way it goes.
That car gets better with every race but we’re just short of knocking on the
door to the winners circle.”
Fletcher has 14 consecutive wins since November 2007 in Super Stock at the
Pomona facility. It was also his fourth national event win in a row. He lists
wins in Richmond, Vegas, Pomona and Pomona. Fletcher's 18-year-old son is
starting his career.
“My son Thomas raced the Stock class in Pomona,” said Fletcher.
“Unfortunately he was stranded at JFK airport because of bad weather and missed
his practice runs. He was only able to make one qualifying pass before the first
round of eliminations and lost first round. The good news is Thomas and I will
race next week in Phoenix.”
Fletcher uses K&N Stubstack (85-0200) on the competition eliminator and K&N oil
filters (HP-3002) on all three vehicles. “K&N oil filters are ingenious,” said
Fletcher. The nut on the bottom makes it easy to change. My engines outlast and
outperform thanks to K&N.”

With a stylish new body and more interior room, the 2008 to 2015 Scion xB is a grown-up version of the first generation xB. Scion also added the 2.4L engine from the tC sports coupe to the list of the xB's features. K&N has designed and released a new performance intake system for the 2008 to 2015 Scion xB which uncovers an additional 9.06 horsepower at 5026 RPM hidden behind the xB's factory intake.
K&N part number 69-8613TS features a mandrel bent aluminum intake tube, which is powdercoated silver for a low maintenance metallic finish. The mandrel bent tube ensures incoming air has a smooth, unrestricted path to the engine. The factory fresh air duct is retained, and routes outside air to the inside of a powdercoated steel heat shield, directly toward the K&N air filter. The factory mass airflow sensor is removed from the stock air box, and reinstalled into a CNC machined adaptor on the K&N intake tube. This combination allows the xB's 2.4L engine to breathe more efficiently, resulting in an immediate 9.06 horsepower increase over the factory system, with no other modifications necessary.
The RU-3570 round tapered air filter mounts within the heat shield, and provides virtually unrestricted airflow while providing superior filtration. Multiple layers of K&N's high flow cotton filter media are treated with 0.97 ounces of K&N air filter oil, which traps dirt and dust without sacrificing airflow. The RU-3570 is also washable and reusable, and can go up to 100,000 miles before cleaning.
The 69-8613TS installs easily in 90 minutes or less, and requires only a socket set, pliers, wrenches, and a flat blade screwdriver. A photo illustrated instruction sheet is included to guide you through each step. The entire cold air intake system is covered by K&N's Million Mile Limited Warranty.
K&N air intake 69-8613TS fits the following vehicles:
K&N has released three new universal closed intake systems (CIS) for its Apollo line of air induction kits. These are for use with normally aspired engines up to 250BHP and turbo engines up to 350BHP. They are designed to increase power while providing excellent engine protection. The new releases are the same except for color,
RC-5052AL
is blue,
RC-5052AS
is silver and
RC-5052AR
is red. Apollo part number RC-5052AB is also available in black. These universal induction kits are primarily used in the European market. They are not allowed for street use in some U.S. states.
K&N's RC-5052AL Universal Apollo CIS
The Apollo's outer shell is made of a durable lightweight material that helps keep incoming air cool as it enters the
engine chamber. The Apollo incorporates a K&N lifetime replacement air
filter which allows for virtually unrestricted air flow.

K&N's RC-5052AS Universal Apollo CIS
K&N's Apollo comes with a cold air hose with a specially designed radius end cap so cooler outside air can be directed into the engine. It also has an assortment of vent adaptors including a blanking plug which covers the adapter hole if a vent is not needed.
The standard neck is 70mm, although 60 and 80 mm adaptor sleeves are available
separately along with a universal bracket kit.
The K&N Apollo CIS contains a general multi-lingual

sheet with pictures. The Apollo is backed by K&N's Million Mile Warranty.
Exotic looks and lightweight components separate the Ducati 1098 and 1098S from other superbikes available today.
