K&N Engineering makes universal air filters for a wide variety of applications. A new universal round tapered (cone) air filter, part# RU-5168, has just been released that will expand this wide range of applications even further. This filter expands the selection choices for those needing a 3.375 inch flange filter. No matter what type of application you may have, one of our K&N Universal Air Filters will probably fit your equipment's air intake.
The RU-5168, like all K&N Universal Air Filters, is washable and reusable. It is constructed with ultra-strong molded pliable rubber edges which absorb vibration and allow for a secure, strong attachment. The flange can also be stretched up to 1/16 inches (1.5mm) to fit in-between sizes.
The new RU-5168 cone shaped filter has a 5.813 inch (148 mm) base outside diameter, and a 3.375 inch (86 mm) flange inside diameter. The flange length is 0.625 inch (16mm) which allows plenty of room to clamp around many engine intakes. The height of the filter is 6.0 inches (152 mm) with a top outside diameter of 4.0 inches (102mm).
K&N Universal Air Filters are ideal for extended use in dirty and dusty conditions. They are designed to provide virtually unrestricted air flow while providing excellent engine protection.
The 2007 to 2016 MINI Cooper is built for optimal performance. Its front and rear anti-sway bars combined with McPherson strut suspension help provide tight front wheel drive handling. Multi-link rear suspension, on the MINI, is designed to keep the wheels at an optimal angle to the road and the tires in complete contact with the surface.
For those eager to gain even more from the MINI Cooper's 1.6L engine, K&N has released a replacement air filter, part# 33-2386, that is designed to increase horsepower and acceleration while providing excellent filtration. This panel filter was engineered as a drop-in replacement air filter which means adding performance is as simple as replacing your disposable air filter with the K&N lifetime air filter.
The 33-2386, like all of K&N's replacement air filters for street vehicles, is covered by our famous K&N Million-Mile Limited Warranty™. Washable and reusable this filter will be the last air filter your vehicle will ever need.
The 2007 Chevrolet Colorado shares its basic design with the GMC Canyon. Both
are midsize pickups which offer improved comfort and a smooth ride. The Colorado
is also a utilitarian regular cab work truck.
Air Intake for 2007 to 2009 GMC Canyon and 2007 to 2009 Chevy Colorado
K&N Engineering has designed a high flow air intake system (63-3064-1) for
the 2007, 2008 and 2009 GMC Canyon 2.9 liter engine and the 2007 to 2009 Chevrolet Colorado 2.9 liter
engine.

K&N dynamometer tests show a 9.06 horsepower gain at 4862 rpm. To add
performance K&N replaces the original air box, air filter and intake tube with
an all new air intake system. The aerodynamically engineered non-metallic
rotationally molded tube is designed to provide lower air temperature. K&N performance air intake systems provide an increase in horsepower while
providing excellent air filtration. Our thoroughly engineered air intake systems
provide increases in power that owners can feel.
The K&N chrome top lifetime replacement air filter (RF-1048) on this air intake is protected by a powder coated heat shield. The large K&N air filter provides increased surface
area and dust capacity.
The heat shield assembly is installed into the engine compartment and a bracket
supports the tube which is mounted to the throttle body.
The 63-3064-1 can easily be installed in 90 minutes or less and is backed by the
K&N Million Mile Limited Warranty.
The K&N air intake system 63-3064-1 fits the following vehicles:

Project truck for SEMA with K&N Engineering products
Scott Harris of Gilbert, Arizona is one of the best-known independent vehicle
customizers in the industry. He was chosen by LEER, to create a truck for its
booth (no. 31745) at SEMA.
Harris has won many styling competitions with his use of color, shape and
technology in his bumper to bumper makeovers. He works on every part of a
vehicle, from performance and power to appearance and entertainment.
Complete details of Harris latest creation are still hush-hush. He has revealed that his project is
based on a new Chevrolet Colorado Crew Cab and that work is underway at his
shop. “I can pick and choose the best parts for my designs,” said Harris. “I
selected a K&N Engineering intake system for the additional horsepower. It helps
the motor breathe. Luckily I have had a lot of sponsors over the years that
helped me.”
Over the years Harris has built a wide variety of vehicles including a Nissan
720, several S-10s, a full size Chevy and a Chevy Silverado. His latest
opportunity with LEER allows Harris to work in the area he likes best, mini
trucks.
The Las Vegas area is the No. 1 destination in the United States for trade shows
and conventions. SEMA (Specialty Equipment Marketing Association) is the premier
automotive specialty products trade event in the world. It will have two million
square feet of exhibits from the brightest minds in the automotive, truck, SUV,
marine and RV markets’ at the Las Vegas Convention Center from October 30
through November 2.
K&N SEMA Booth 2006
Tim Martin, K&N Vice President of Communications
For SEMA 2007, K&N Engineering will be located in the Central Hall at booth number 22941. K&N has sold
more than 30 million high performance air filters since 1969. “Our visitors
should leave our booth with the message that there is technology behind K&N
products, and we believe in our products and stand behind them,” said Tim
Martin, K&N Vice President of Communications. “K&N air filters and air intake kits
increase horsepower by reducing air restriction, and we have some interesting
new displays that demonstrate some of the science and technology.”

K&N supports our replacement air filters and intake systems with a million mile
warranty, a consumer protection pledge, and an intake system horsepower
guarantee. “We also support our business partners with strong marketing programs
as we continue to work to serve our customers better,” said Martin. “SEMA is an
opportunity for K&N to showcase our products and our company to the most
influential people in the automotive aftermarket.”
The SEMA show attracts more than 100,000 industry leaders from over 100
countries. K&N has an extensive product line and our SEMA displays highlight the
features and benefits of these product lines. Currently, K&N offers air filters
for over 97 percent of the 2007 vehicles in North America.
“We invented a category of performance air filtration products that is now one
of the most important aftermarket product categories,” said Martin. “Our future
depends on constant product development, creative marketing and improving the
support we provide to our retailers and distributors.”
In 2006, SEMA drew over 50,000 domestic and international buyers. Jay Leno,
Ice-T and Dale Earnhardt Jr., were among the A-list of featured celebrities. K&N
will have several racers signing autographs at our booth. The No.6 K&N Filters
Ford F-150 NASCAR Craftsman Truck will be on display. Driver Travis Kvapil will
be available for a meet and greet and to sign autographs. Kvapil is currently
3rd in NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series points.
K&N will also showcase a 2008 Toyota Tundra CrewMax with aftermarket
modifications including a K&N air intake system that we released in September. We also
plan to highlight K&N’s full line of motorcycle and ATV filtration products at
our SEMA booth with a 2008 Suzuki GSX1400R Hayabusa and a Polaris Ranger RZR.
The SEMA show also provides attendees with educational seminars and networking
opportunities. “SEMA is full of smart experienced people and innovative
companies,” said Martin. “We learn a lot from our participation. It is also a
great opportunity to educate and listen to our customers while learning from
other industry professionals.” K&N Engineering has been a member and participant
in the SEMA community for a very long time.
