Sometimes similarities are genetic, sometimes the similarity becomes
familiarity. Tawny Strader grew up watching her father race, now she is the
racer and he is her crew. The legacy that passed from father to daughter shines
in a 16-year-old girl.

In her first year of racing, Tawny finished third in points overall in the High
School Series at Edgewater. That win propelled the high-school junior from
Brookville, Ohio to the O'Reilly Raceway Park Summit Finals.
"I had two good qualifying runs there, but on the first round I red-lighted,"
said Tawny. "I need to do better next time. There is always room for improvement
as far as I'm concerned. I am determined to make it to the finals in 2008."
Tawny likes the competition and likes to work on her Pontiac. "It's important to
know my car so I can race better," she said. "I have small hands and they can
fit in tiny spaces under the engine. I also helped replace the radiator. My dad
is teaching me about mechanics."
"We use K&N products (57-3010-1)," said Tawny's father Keith Strader. "K&N makes
a big difference in performance and power on our Pontiac."
The season begins again for Tawny in April 2008. She plans to be back at
Edgewater with her Pontiac equipped with K&N.

K&N Engineering has designed a replacement air filter, 33-2927, for the Renault Clio III, a popular car in Europe. The simple drop-in design makes it easy to add performance. Simply remove the disposable air filter and replace it with the new K&N replacement Air Filter.
Unlike disposable filters, K&N Air Filters use a unique pleated design with oiled cotton fabric layers sandwiched between two layers of epoxy-coated aluminum wire screens. The filters capture airborne dirt particles while allowing virtually unrestricted air flow into the engine. These dirt particles cling to the outside of the filter and become part of the filtering media.
The washable, reusable, high flow flat panel filter is designed to increase horsepower and acceleration, while providing excellent filtration. The 33-2927 has a 1.125 inch height (29mm) with an outside length of 9.25 inches (235mm) and an outside width of 5.5 inches (140mm).
K&N’s stock replacement air filters for street vehicles are built to last for the life of your vehicle and are covered by our famous K&N Million-Mile Warranty. This will be the last air filter your Clio III will ever need.

No. 6 K&N Filters Team
Qualifying for the 200 lap 105.2 mile race begins October 20 at 11:10 a.m. EST.
“I’ve come close to winning at Martinsville a couple of times in the Truck
Series,” said Kvapil. “I grew up short track racing on half-miles in late
models. I always feel comfortable going to Martinsville, it’s a demanding race
and it’s very hard on equipment, but I feel it’s a race we have a chance to
win.”
The No.6 K&N Filters Team will be bringing chassis RK330-45 to Martinsville.
This chassis last raced at Loudon, where Kvapil started third and finished 15th.
“Travis has always run well at Martinsville,” said crew chief Mike Beam. “We’ll
head there looking to win this race. We had a strong truck in the spring, but we
got caught behind when we decided to pit late in the race and the cautions kept
coming. We know that our chances for the championship are basically gone, so
we’ll look to win as many races as we can in the final five of the season.”
SPEED-TV will cover the race. Check your local guide for times.

K&N Engineering manufactures universal air filters for a wide variety of applications. Regardless of the angle or offset diameter of the air intake, there is a K&N Universal air filter for your equipment.
The new RC-5169 is constructed with ultra-strong molded pliable rubber flanges which absorb vibration and allow for secure attachment.
Universal Air Filters can stretch up to 1/16" (1.5mm) to fit sizes in-between. The black powder coated filter top has a threaded stud for additional security when mounting the air filter.
The flange length is 1.5 inches (38 mm) which allows plenty of room to clamp around a variety of engine intakes. The RC-5169 Universal Air Filter is washable, reusable and ideal for extended use in dirty and dusty conditions. It is designed to increase horsepower and acceleration while providing excellent filtration to protect your engine.
There is a great deal of engineering behind every K&N Filter. More than 35 years of research and development has made K&N the leader in air filtration technology.
This is the air filter used by Baja 1000, Trophy Truck Racer Damen Jefferies.
California’s Tulare Thunderbowl Raceway is an extremely fast racetrack and on
the night of the Dave Helm Memorial Jonathan Allard took a late race spin.
K&N Filters No.0 Sprint Car
The Chico, California resident was able to charge forward to earn a 14th place
finish in the Williams Motorsports K&N Filters No. 0. The night began with 42
competitors and Allard came out 22nd in the qualifying order. His lap of 14.143
put the K&N Filters machine only two one-thousandths of a second behind the 16th
fastest car.
Jonathan Allard
This was good news for Allard because the World of Outlaws only takes the
top 16 qualifying drivers for the heat race. The 2006 King of California was
able to bring home third place and transfer to the feature.
The track was tough because of the rain and traffic in the back was thick.
Allard picked his spots and was on the move early in the K&N Filters Williams
Motorsports No. 0. He was able to close in for a top ten spot. As Allard battled
with the Tony Stewart Motorsports machine, he spun to a stop in turn two on the
25th lap. Allard was pushed back to the rear for the final 10 lap shootout.
Allard took the high side and charged around several competitors over the last
few laps to bring home a hard fought 14th place finish. “We had a great car and
are happy to race neck and neck with this kind of competition,” said Allard. “I
want to thank our sponsors like K&N for supporting us as we move on in the
series.”
Allard is scheduled to run the K&N Filters No. 0 at Manzanita Speedway in
Arizona on Friday and Perris Auto Speedway in California on Saturday.
