Power Gain Chart for Ford Fusion with K&N Air Intake
The Ford introduced its all new Fusion in 2006 as a midsized sedan. The 2007 models come standard with side impact and curtain airbags, an upgrade over 2006.
K&N Engineering has designed a High-Flow Intake System (69-3514TTK) in textured black for the 2006 to 2012 Ford Fusion with a 2.3 liter engine. K&N dynamometer tests show a 6.05 horsepower gain at 4200 rpm.

The heat shield is engineered to allow the continued use of the factory fresh air duct. It also isolates the oversized round tapered K&N High-Flow Air Filter (RU-4960) from engine bay heat. In addition to increasing power the K&N Air Intake system is designed to increase filtering capacity and improve throttle response.
As air passes the filter, it travels through the textured black aluminum tube that is attached to the throttle body. This K&N Air Intake keeps all factory vacuum operated emissions controls operational. The K&N intake tube has a fitting for the factory air injection hose which hooks up to the air injection pump, a factory emissions control device. It takes about 90 minutes to install this K&N Air Intake. It is backed by the famous K&N Million Mile Limited Warranty.

Race for the second year in a row. Latvia shares borders with Estonia to the
north and Lithuania to the south along with both Russia and Belarus to the east.
The Baltic Sea separates Latvia from Sweden in the west.

In the 2006 event, Defending Grand Prix Champion Jason Crump was
eliminated at the semi-final stage. This year his objective is to go one better
and make it through the very important final. Once there, his focus will be on
winning his first Grand Prix of the year and collecting as many points as
possible.

“I have struggled this year with mechanical gremlins and several injuries,” said
Crump. “I have not given up yet. I know I need more points and I will be racing
for the win on Saturday. If I can get good results at the final four Grand
Prix’s then I am still have a good chance to finish in the top two. It’s not
over.”
With only four rounds of the series to go, the Australian Ace is planning to
close in on the current leaders. . “I love K&N products, the K&N Filters are the
best in the world,” said Crump. “I have solely used K&N products and never had a
problem. K&N is the best for dirt track racing.”
Crump is currently in 4th place in the World Championship Standings.

The Nissan 240SX entered the 1990s with an edge that put it near the top of the
entry-level sport coupe market. Japanese automakers put in rear-wheel drive which
spiked performance reviews including sharp and balanced handling. Nissan stopped
importing the 240SX to our shores by the end of the 90s, but there are many on
the road today.

K&N Engineering has designed a High-Flow Air Intake System (69-7076TS)
in silver for the 1995, 1996, 1997, and 1998 Nissan 240SX 2.4 liter engine. K&N
dynamometer testing shows a 4.94 horsepower gain @ 4471 RPM. K&N Engineering's
air intake design has lower restriction than the factory air box system
resulting in an immediate power gain.

With the use of the factory Mass Air Flow Sensor, custom radius filter
adapter and a K&N High Flow Air Filter (RU-4600)
non-turbulent air flow is provided into the free flowing mandrel bent aluminum
intake tube.
The K&N Air Filter is located next to the hole in the fender which provided
fresh air to the O/E system. This allows the K&N Air Filter to receive a
consistent flow of fresh cool air. In addition, the heat shield isolates the K&N
Air Filter from the engine compartment.
K&N engineers took special care to ensure that it followed the Nissan's lines
and that it did not obstruct or rub against other parts in the engine.
The
69-7076TS is designed to improve engine performance and is easy to
install, usually in
90 minutes or less. K&N Air Intake Systems come with the famous Million
Mile Limited Warranty.
Three drivers from the Snap-On Stars of Karting presented by IndyCarSeries were
given the opportunity to test out a new form of Open-wheel machinery at
Irwindale Speedway in California.

Western Speed Racing and Wally Pankratz Racing provided 100 laps with full crew
in race ready, 185 horsepower Ford Focus Midget cars for Cory Pollack, Jacob
Neal and Nick Johnston.

The three drivers were selected because of their accomplishments in the Snap-On
Stars of Karting program organized by series sponsor K&N Filters. Ultimately up
to 21 drivers will have an opportunity to receive a test drive in the Ford Focus
Midget cars courtesy of Maier Racing, Wally Pankratz Racing, Western Speed
Racing, Beast Racing, Ron Suttton Winner’s Circle, Richard Petty Drive
Experience and Cory Kruseman Racing.

which is legal in all classes of the Snap-On Stars of Karting presented by
IndyCar Series.

On these test days the young drivers get a chance to see how involved the
program really is.”
Jacob Neal enjoyed his experience at Irwindale. “When I got the opportunity, I
was excited about what it would be like,” said Neal. Western Speed Racing helped
me understand what the midget car would feel like and how to drive it. I had a
blast.” The 16-year-old from Wildomar, California has raced for 5 years. "This
was a whole different type of racing. The laps helped me decide which direction
to go in my future. Midgets are fast and there is lots of acceleration. I really
enjoyed it."
Nick Johnston has been racing for 10 years. The 17-year-old for Northridge,
California said he learned a lot. “I did well,” he said. “I learned a lot and
the cars are fun to drive.” Johnston has several championships on his racing
resume and is currently up for a chance to compete in the 2007 Rotax World
Finals at Dubai, Saudi Arabia. “I use K&N Filters,” said Johnston. “K&N works
the best and keeps the dirt out of my engines.”
Series Marketing Director Jeff Swoboda was thrilled with the first testing round
at Irwindale. “It was very satisfying to see these three drivers getting
strapped into the cars for the first time,” he said. “The smiles on their faces
said it all.”
The Snap-On Stars of Karting presented by IndyCar Series will have its next
event September 14-16 at Moran Raceway in Beaumont, California. The race will
serve as the West Division Finale and will tee up divisional champions to head
off to the Desert MINI of Las Vegas National Finals October 19-21 at Las Vegas
Motor Speedway.

Chris Forsberg Racing took another victory for the Maxxis Tires Drift Team at
Sonoma, California over the weekend.

The 5th Round of the Formula Drift Pro Championship was held at Infineon
Raceway over the past weekend. The team worked hard in the weeks leading up to
the event to prepare the car for the high speed entry.

Top Drifters Share the Podium at Sonoma, California
“We were really excited for this event as the high speed long entry really suits
my driving style,” said Chris Forsberg. “The 350Z was set up perfectly and ran
great all weekend. The car was dialed in perfectly for completion.” On
Forsberg’s first qualifying pass he scored 96 out of 100 putting him in the top
spot.
In the tandem battle, Forsberg’s tires were burning up the track and gave him
the grip he needed to perform. The team moved on to defeat Stephan Verdier in
his new Subaru STI. He was in the final round pitted against Falken’s top driver
Vaughn Gittin Jr. The drifters had a great first run and Forsberg scored a near
perfect 9 point run against Gittin and his Mustang.
They were preparing to line up again but Gittin suffered engine malfunctions. He
faced a 4 point deficit to Forsberg and decided it would be impossible to
recover. Forsberg took first place in Formula Drift Round Five. Gittin was
second and Ken Gushi rounded out third place.
Forsberg uses K&N Engineering Oil (HP-1003) and Air Filters (RC-5004). “Overall
it was an exciting weekend,” he said. “All the pieces fell into place. We are
very happy to be back in 2nd place overall.”
Chris Forsberg Racing is also in the lead of the Triple Crown points race, with
only a final round at Irwindale Speedway remaining. The separate race rewards
the highest ranked driver from the Atlanta, Infineon and Irwindale races with a
large cash prize. Forsberg won both the Atlanta and the Infineon events and is
far ahead of the pack. A solid finish at Irwindale Speedway will lock up the
Triple Crown.
Gittin is one of the top drifters in the world. The 26-year-old Annapolis,
Maryland resident competes against top drivers from Japan, England, Ireland,
Malaysia and New Zealand. He is frequently the highest ranked American in
competitions.
Gittin has used K&N Engineering products since he was 16-years-old. “I saw all
the research and knew K&N Air and Oil Filters were right for me,” he said. “My
professional relationship with K&N began about 4-years-ago. I was moving up the
ranks in drifting and walked over to the K&N booth at an event. I introduced
myself asked for a sponsorship and the rest is history.”
The next Formula Drift event will be held September 7 and 8 at Wall TWP Speedway
in Wall, New Jersey.
