NHRA Drag Racer Jeff Arend defeated Scott Kalitta in round one, went on to
defeat Tim Wilkerson in round two and lost to Tommy Johnson with a semi-final
finish at Old Bridge Township Raceway Park.

Semi-final finish for Jeff Arend at Englishtown
“Jeff drove his Team Worsham blue Checker, Schuck’s Kragen Impala
SS with K&N Engineering products at Englishtown, New Jersey with amazing
consistency,” said CSK Team Manager Bob Wilber. “He kept the car straight, kept
it whole and earned his wins. But all he and most everyone else will remember is
his heartbreaking loss in the semi-finals.”
“We had a great day, and did everything just about right,” said Arend. “We got
edged out by a very good team having a very good day.”Arend, put one solid lap
on the board during the four qualifying sessions. The lap ran his 2007
qualifying streak to 10-for-10, sharing that honor only with Gary Scelzi.
“We made a good lap on Friday night, but that’s not what we were really after,”
said Arend. “We wanted to be in the final, and we felt we could certainly win.
My guys put a great car on the track for three straight rounds, and we nailed
the numbers each time. We just lost by a few feet. We’ll go to Norwalk with our
heads high and our confidence right there.
“We use K&N Oil Filters and we never missed a minute of racing due to any filter
failure,” said Wilber. “You need that kind of confidence to continually send
your divers out on the track in 330 mph race cars. That’s why we continue to
spin those K&N Filters into place before every run. K&N Oil Filters are one part
of the equation we never have to worry about.”

Toward the end of the race, the Lola-Zytek B05/40 and two Zytek 075 prototypes
filled the top three places in class only. The Zytek powered Binnie Motorsports
Lola of Bill Binnie, Allen Timpany and Chris Buncombe was the only car it the
LMP2 class to have an almost trouble free run.
Two of the drivers from Zytek Motorsport were rookies at Le Mans, but the solid
one-two finish put them on the podium. “I would like to thank K&N Engineering
for helping Zytek achieve a one-two finish at Le Mans,” said John Manchester,
Operations Director of Zytek Engineering Limited. “This year’s result is a
remarkable achievement and is our best ever, but without the excellent service
and quality products we receive from K&N It would not have been possible.”

People who have Jeep Wranglers can lower the windshields and take off the doors
all by themselves. It is made for off-road enthusiasts who like to cross streams and
drive over big rocks. The Wrangler also works well on pavement.
Air Intake for Jeep Wrangler
K&N Engineering has released a 57-Series Performance Air Intake Kit (57-1553)
for 2007-2011 Jeep Wrangler 3.8 liter V6 engine in black molded polyethylene. K&N
dynamometer tests show an increase of an estimated 8 @ 4807 RPM for this air intake.

To add performance K&N replaces the Wrangler's original air box, air
filter and intake tube with an all new air intake system. The aerodynamically
engineered non-metallic rotationally molded tube is designed to provide lower air
temperature and reduced intake sound than metal tube intakes.
The K&N Lifetime
Replacement Air Filter (RF-1048) is protected by a powder coated steel heat
shield. The heat shield isolates the chrome top K&N Air Filter from the engine compartment
and allows the K&N Air Filter to receive a consistent flow of fresh cool air.
The heat shield assembly is installed into the engine compartment and a bracket supports the tube
which is mounted to the engine. Simply remove the factory air temperature sensor
from the stock intake track to install the new K&N Air Intake System.
The 57-1553
can easily be installed in 90 minutes or less and is backed by the K&N Million
Mile Limited Warranty.
The 2007 Elantra was redesigned by Hyundai to compete with the Honda Civic and
its peers. The new version has a taller curvier look and drops the styling from
previous generations. The cabin is marketed as 5 to 10 percent larger than most
of its competitors.

Air Intake for 2007 to 2011 Jeep Wrangler
K&N Engineering developed a 77 Series (77-1553KP)
High-Flow Intake System in polished metal for the 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010 and 2011 Jeep Wrangler 3.8 liter
V6 engine. K&N dynamometer test show a horsepower gain of 7.92 @ 4807 RPM.
Power Gain Chart for Jeep Wrangler with K&N Air Intake
To get a performance increase K&N
replaced the Wrangler's original intake assembly, including the air box, air
filter and intake tube with an all new air intake design. The new system draws
air through K&N a High-Flow Lifetime Replacement Air Filter (RU-4730)
which increases airflow and filtering capacity.
A powder coated steel heat shield replaces the stock airbox and protects the K&N
Air Filter by isolating it from engine heat. As air passes through the filter,
it travels though a longer intake tube which uses a silicone hose that is
mounted to the throttle body.
The heat shield bolts into the factory airbox location. The tube is supported by
a bracket which is mounted onto the engine. Remove the factory air temperature
sensor from the stock intake track then install it into the new K&N Air intake kit.
The 77-1553KP can easily be
installed in 90
minutes or less and are backed by the K&N Million Mile Limited Warranty. Find K&N products for your vehicle using the K&N application search then use the
